What is Meningitis ACWY?

Meningitis ACWY is a serious infection caused by four types of meningococcal bacteria: A, C, W, and Y. These bacteria can lead to life-threatening illnesses such as meningitis (inflammation of the brain and spinal cord lining) and septicemia (blood poisoning). It spreads through close contact, such as coughing, sneezing, or kissing, via nasal or throat droplets.
